The Courses
6km Course:
This is a great run for the beginner or intermediate runner or even for anyone that wants a leisurely Sunday morning stroll around beautiful Dunnstown.
The 6k race starts at 8.30am and bib collection is from 6.30am onwards. Get there early to avoid the queues and roads are closed from 8am.
The 6 km run/walk leaves the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve, and follows Old Melbourne Road to Torpy’s Road and into Britts and Howards Road, a final left back into Old Melbourne Road will see the course finishing back at the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve.
12.5km Course:
Do you want a real challenge? The 12.5k course up Mount Warrenheip is for you. A truly picturesque run with some stunning views. This run is sure to test your physical and mental endurance.
The 12.5k race starts at 8.15am and bib collection is from 6.30am onwards. Get there early to avoid the queues and roads are closed from 8am.
The 12.5k event also leaves from the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve in Old Melbourne Road. This course follows the 6 km course but deviates at the end of Britt’s and Howard’s Road, to include the ascension of Mt Warrenheip where you will receive a “proof of ascension”. The course will then descend Mt Warrenheip back down Old Melbourne Road finishing at the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve.

Teams
Get your team together and make the Mountain of Fun Run a great social experience. We do however encourage families to enter the 6 km course.
TEAMS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER ON THE DAY, THEY MUST BE VIA ONLINE REGISTRATION
6 km course Family Team
Team captain must register and pay for all team members in one transaction. Limit of 2 adults and 4 children in this team. $60 per Family team (2 adults and up to 4 children. Each family team child must be under 16 years of age.
6 km course Team
Team captain must register and pay for all team members in one transaction. Limit of 4 people in this team. $80 per team of 4 – must register as a team (can be all females/all males/or mixed).
12.5 km course Team
Team captain must register and pay for all team members in one transaction. Limit of 4 people in this team.
$120 per team of 4 – must register as a team (can be all female/all male/or mixed).

Note: Family teams will not be eligible for team prizes and will not be listed in the team results. However, individual family team members will be eligible to compete for prizes in their age categories.

Safety & Fine Print
Bibs & Timing Chips
Bibs and timing chips will be available from the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve, Old Melbourne Road, Dunnstown from 6:30am on event day. Please arrive early for the event to ensure that the process of distributing these is smooth and efficient. Any queries ask one of our friendly volunteers, they’ll be wearing a fluro vest and are happy to help!
Water Stations
Water stations are available along both courses to quench your thirst.
First Aid
Medical Response will be attending the event
Timing
Timing starts and finishes at the time each entrant crosses the timing mats at the start/finish line.
Strict Time Limits
Thanks to the Moorabool Shire, sections of road will be closed for this event to take place. Please note – roads on the course are partially closed. Please ensure you stay within the closed half of the road and be aware of traffic.
Roads into the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve (event start location) will be fully closed at 8am on the morning of the event. Please ensure you are at the Dunnstown Recreation Reserve prior to 8am.
There are 2 time limits that must be strictly adhered to:
All participants must cross the railway line according to time limits set by event officials, if participants have not crossed by this time they must wait and follow instructions from event officials before resuming their course.
All entrants must complete the course within 2.5 hours. Any entrant who remains on the course after this time does so at their own risk.
Registrations
Registrations are via:
- Online Registration at the Mountain of Fun Run website mountainoffunrun. Online registrations close the Friday prior to event day at 5pm sharp.
- Entrants will receive a confirmation email after successfully completing registration.
- Additions/alterations to online registrations will not be accepted once registration has been confirmed.
Post Event Refreshments
BBQ & drinks will be available for purchase at the finish location.
Bag drop off
For those participating in the run, we are offering a bag drop off area – gold coin donation.

This is a fully timed event please check your results after the race at
